I'm still tired from yesterday but what I made Timmy's hut out of gives me an idea. I'll try pottery. I need some better mud than what I used yesterday. The reason for this is that plain mud with crack over time, losing integrity. I think I have found a solution to the problem. If I add plant fibers to the mud it will bind it together. With this in mind I'm going off to the creek to get some mud and some plant fibers. After bringing it back to my hut I mixed it together on a large slab of stone. I pulled the mud into pieces and started shaping it. Since I need water I think I will make a basket shaped bowl. First, I need some more water so I gather it in a bark basket that sort of leaks. I put water on my hands and started shaping the mud. I use my fingers to spread the mud into a basket shape and put in a fire I made with some flint. After a long while it was done. I could now carry water from place to place. I am successful in today's goal. Today was very productive!

Something terrible has happened! Elder Bob has died of old age. He was our village's best hut builder. He built all of the best huts in our village! Now he is dead! Since he has died someone needs to take the job and I think I'll take it. Since it isn't early morning anymore, everyone is outside. "I'll take Elder Bob's job", I yelled. Many people were mumbling about my decision. After everyone mingled around talking to each other, eventually it seems that they decided. The decided that I was suitable for the job! It was a very chaotic job as there was so much to do. I got to work right away for the family of Elder Bob because Elder Bob's son Timmy, needed a hut. First, I got some thin but rigid logs from George and started the structure.
I woke up twenty minutes ago and I realized something. With the heavy wool I got yesterday I can weave some clothes. Even better, I can trade for some hide and sew on the wool on the interior for comfort. First, I gotta get breakfast. In the darkness I fumbled around to find the path and trudged down it to the secret place where I dry the meat I trade for so I can eat it later. That place is super hidden in a log behind my log. I started the habit of drying meat a long time ago when I had a big trade in another village for more meat than I could eat I ate some and in a few days It had gone bad, so now I preserve it. I winced when I saw the first slice of meat because it was rotten. All of the others were fine so I guess I need to seal that side better next time. After devouring the tasty, rough meat I decide that the first thing I need is a needle. I stumbled inside and found a peice of bone that was conveniently in my basket of tools.
I feel so full! After the last meal yesterday I had some water and almost threw up! Well, I am scheduled to travel with Frederick who is a cousin of Fred over to a local trading point. We are supposed to trade for some wool since my community specializes in food and not sheep. As I create tools and weapons I am making a bow that I need to trade for the wool. That is only part of the deal though. Frederick has cattle and he also needs wool so we are both trading. First, I need to get a snack. "Oh Yea", I said out loud. I remember that I still have some onion left from yesterday. The snack is covered! Now I have to get some thin but strong piece of wood for the bow. I also broke off a thin branch for the arrow.
I have just woken up in my mud-brick hut and I remembered that I had to make a spear for Fred today. Since he worked in the farm I don't know why he wants a spear but I need food so I have to make it for him. First things first, I have to get a tree branch from George for the shaft of the spear.
